Nina Pavlovski

Nina Pavlovski trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the Opera Academy in Copenhagen with Professor Kim Borg. Her trainig continued first with Judith Beckmann in Hamburg, followed by master-classes with Sena Jurinac, Nicolai Gedda, Ingrid Bjoner, Irwin Cage, Roger Vignoles and others. In 1991-94 She was taught by the Russian soprano Galina Vishnevskaya. Nina Pavlovski mainly works as a concert and lied singer. She has sung several orchestral concerts of opera arias as well as in symphonies and oratories. In 1996 she made her debut with overwhelming success at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen in the title role in Puccini's Madame Butterfly, and her success also led to her being offered the title role in the Shostakovich opera Lady Macbeth from Mtsensk in concert performances in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Japan with Mstislav Rostropovich conducting. With Aalborg Symphony Orchestra she has done the vocal part of Ole Schmidt's Joan of Arc at six concerts since 1995.
