Privacy Policy

At Dacapo Records the information regarding customers and visitors to our website is collected and stored in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Our privacy policy lets you know the types of information we collect and store when you visit our website, and how we protect your information.

Information we collect and its use
We use the information we collect to handle your orders and provide the best service possible. The information is not shared with or sold to third parties.

To purchase a physical order (CD, DVD, etc) to be shipped, you must register an account and submit the following information, which we store securely:

First and last name
Postal address + country
Email address
Phone number

When purchasing a download order an account is optional. You don’t need to register; we only require your email address for sending an order confirmation.

Note that we also keep the following information on all purchases made with or without an account:

Order history
Payment history
Credit card type

Our shopping cart system is handled by QuickPay, using SSL/TLS-encryption. Dacapo never have access to credit card numbers or CVC codes, which are received and processed securely by QuickPay. Read more about QuickPay’s safety policy.

If you would like to delete or disable your account, you can do this when signed in. If you should need help with this, please contact us at music@dacapo-records.dk.

Website statistics and analysis
To analyze the use of our website we collect anonymous information about how users interact with it. The information collected includes the type of device used, the browser used, pages visited, amount of time used on the website, and how the user navigated to our website. This information is collected via Google Analytics.

Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that the website you visit asks to save on your computer. Cookies are generally used to record browsing history and save information such as the content of your shopping cart, whether you're signed and how you navigate on the website. If you don't want this information is being registered and saved, you can either delete or disable cookies in your brower, for example FirefoxGoogle ChromeInternet Explorer and Microsoft Edge.

Log files
As is the case with most websites user data is collected in a server log file. The information in the log file includes your IP address, internet provider, the browser used, and the pages visited. These log files do not contain easily accessible personal information.

Newsletters and emails
When you sign up for our newsletter we store your email address, name (if submitted), and newsletter preferences. We send out newsletters through the MailChimp platform. See MailChimp’s privacy policy here.
