Michael Frank Møller

Michael Frank Møller is a renowned trumpet soloist in Denmark and abroad. In the Tivoli Youth Guard at the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, he received much of his basic music education. Later, he was taught by Christer Nilsson and Søren Emtoft at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen and by solo trumpeter Ketil Christensen of the Royal Danish Orchestra. He joined the Danish National Symphony Orchestra as principal trumpet in 2005. Before that, he played in several orchestras: from 1994, he played in Tivoli’s Promenade Orchestra, and from 1999 to 2002, he worked in the Royal Danish Orchestra. He then spent three years as principal trumpet in the Odense Symphony Orchestra before joining the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. Møller’s appearances as a guest principal trumpet player include engagements with the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra and Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
