Johanne Thisted Højlund

Mezzo-soprano Johanne Thisted Højlund is a Danish mezzo-soprano. She has studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, the Royal Opera Academy in Copenhagen and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York. Recent roles with the Danish National Opera include Carmen in Carmen, Olga in Eugene Onegin, Krysztina in Die Passagierin, Tisbe in La Cenerentola and Ursula in Nothing by David Bruce. Johanne Thisted Højlund is a regular oratorio soloist, and she has sung the alto parts in Handel’sMessiah, Bach’s St Matthew Passion,St John Passion and the Christmas Oratorio, Mozart’s Requiem and Dvořák’s Stabat Mater.
