Bolette Roed

Bolette Roed (recorder) graduated from the advanced solo performance class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2004. Her repertoire ranges from medieval to contemporary music and naturally involves improvisation, folk and world music. She performs in various ensembles like Alpha, Gáman and Lune Rousse. Bolette Roed has been a soloist with Concerto Copenhagen, Arte Dei Suonatori, the Danish National Chamber Orchestra, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Danish Orchestra. Bolette Roed has recorded several CDs, for example Alpha, for Dacapo. She has previously won a major scholarship from the Jacob Gade Foundation, and the Danish broadcasting corporation DR nominated her as “DR Artist of the Year” in 2005. In 2011, Bolette Roed was nominated for the Nordic Council’s Music Prize.
