Eva Havshøj Ohrt has worked with new and classical Danish music throughout her career. With her at the helm, Dacapo Edition·S gets a director with considerable insight into the field, a large international network and in-depth knowledge of the three institutions.

Chairman of the board John Frandsen states: "It is with great pleasure that we welcome Eva Havshøj Ohrt as the new CEO of Dacapo Edition·S when Henrik Rørdam retires in the new year. Henrik Rørdam has made a colossal effort for the institution for many years; we are convinced that Eva Havshøj Ohrt, with her deep knowledge of the industry, is the right person to continue this work and develop the wide range of activities taking into consideration the company's tasks and objectives as well as the challenges of the future."

Eva Havshøj Ohrt was initially employed at Edition·S in 2014, and since 2018 she has held the position of Head Deputy at Dacapo Edition·S. She has previously worked in areas such as promotion and administration for e.g. Edition Wilhelm Hansen, Art Music Denmark (formerly SNYK) and FIGURA Ensemble.

"It is an amazingly exciting task to get to further develop Dacapo Edition·S, also including Naxos Denmark, which are key players in Danish classical music life," says Eva Havshøj Ohrt. "Together with the employees and the board, I will now open a new chapter in the distribution of brand new and older classical Danish music. We must prepare the institutions for an even more digital future and at the same time strengthen our physical activities and presence in the Danish and international music scene. This will be done in close dialogue with those whom it is all about, namely the artists, as well as a multitude of collaborative partners.”

Eva Havshøj Ohrt holds an MA in musicology and Nordic philology from the University of Copenhagen, the University of Oslo, as well as Humboldt and Freie Universität in Berlin. She is a member of the board of the web magazine Seismograf.org and the association Kvinder i Musik.
