Kantater
Danmarks verdensberømte komponist, Carl Nielsen (1865-1931), har stadig ukendte og spændende sider. På denne CD kan man høre premiereindspilninger af to af hans kantater for kor, solister og orkester. Kantaterne er skrevet 1908-09, hvor Carl Nielsen befandt sig i en af sine flittigste faser. De blev opført flere gange siden, men først i forbindelse med den nye samlede nodeudgave af Nielsens værker er de udkommet på tryk. Det samme gælder den muntre Hyldest til Holberg, skrevet i 1923 til fejring af den store skuespilforfatter, Carl Nielsen også hyldede i sin opera Maskarade.
